DNPA Code of Ethics

Purpose

At Top in the City, we uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our operations. This policy ensures that every team member conducts themselves with integrity, follows all relevant laws and regulations, and avoids any actions driven by personal gain.

Gifts, Favors, and Payments

  • Gifts, favors, and payments given by Top in the City must align with accepted business practices, be of limited value, comply with legal requirements, and prevent reputational risks if publicly disclosed.
  • Payments, commissions, or compensation to associates of customers without a written contract are against company policy.

Gifts, Favors, Entertainment, and Payments Received

  • Associates must not seek or accept gifts, favors, entertainment, or payments without a legitimate business purpose, especially from entities doing or seeking business with Top in the City.
  • Exceptions include customary business courtesies and small-value gifts. Strict standards apply, particularly regarding gifts from suppliers.

Conflicts of Interest

  • Associates should avoid situations where personal interests conflict with those of Top in the City. Any potential conflicts must be disclosed to management promptly.
  • Examples of conflicts include ownership stakes in companies that do business with or compete against Top in the City, holding positions with competitors, or any circumstances that could compromise company interests.

Confidential Information

  • Unauthorized disclosure or misuse of confidential company information is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including termination.

Compliance & Accountability

  • Violations of this policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Associates are required to report any violations they become aware of.

Social Media Guidelines

Introduction

Social media posts should be made with good judgment, as they function as public statements with lasting impact. Associates must comply with company policies and guidelines.

Be Careful What You Post

  • Associates are personally responsible for their online activity, and inappropriate content may result in disciplinary action.
  • Posts should reflect personal viewpoints, with any references to Top in the City clearly identified as personal opinions.

Be Respectful and Professional

  • Maintain professionalism in all communications, avoiding posts that could be perceived as offensive, threatening, or harassing.
  • Protect personal privacy and refrain from sharing false or misleading information.

Be Honest and Accurate

  • Accuracy is essential, and errors should be corrected promptly. Associates must be transparent about any modifications to past posts.

Respect Laws & Confidentiality

  • Associates must follow legal and confidentiality requirements, including copyright and privacy laws. Confidential company information should not be disclosed without authorization.

Reporting Concerns

  • Any suspected policy violations should be reported to Human Resources. Retaliation against whistleblowers is strictly prohibited.

Plagiarism & Fairness

  • Top in the City does not tolerate plagiarism. Reporters must ensure fairness by providing all parties involved in a story the opportunity to respond appropriately
